Here’s introducing Kean Kok, our grand winner for the ANYONE CAN CREATE contest!

His mod-sin creation is “Sweet Potato Abacus Seed Aglio Olio”! Against the standard Abacus seeds, KK changed the ingredient of yam to bi-colored sweet potato, and put an Italian twist to it by doing it aglio olio with extra virgin olive oil. Hae Bee was used to give it an umami flavour, and with Chef Shen Tan’s suggestion of chopped cashew nuts, it added a textural contrast that hits the right notes.

This contest has shown that delicious gourmet food can be made anywhere, even in the comfort of your own homes, so try this recipe out and don’t be afraid to experiment!
